I just received the two copies I ordered. You all would not believe how big my smile was/is. It looks AWESOME! And I can't wait to get home tonight to read it.
I'm willing to read and review all the other stories or the anthology in general, but as I'm an author in it...is that a no no? Maybe I can convince a friend to read and review it...

I don't think it has any bearing on your review actually. I welcome and recommend all authors participate in reviews. Books need them! So glad you like the book.

Okay, I'll put up my review soon. I just won't say anything about my story.
Happy New Year!

Well, I finally got around to finishing the anthology and was quite pleased. I liked it! My review is rather vague. I'm not very good with reviews. I'm posting it below. Is it okay? I plan to put up on GoodReads, Amazon (under my real name) and my blog.
This anthology explores the the ‘what if’ possibilities from the simple meeting of alien and human: First Contact.
A collection of light science fiction stories, fifteen authors give us their take on what that meeting might look like. The settings for each of the stories range from the mundane, a washer machine, to the extraordinary, an ice-blue world, and together they elicit wonder, disgust, and surprise - all in equal measure.
This is an adult anthology, but those of you squeamish need not worry. There is one story with some interesting alien sex, but nothing too garish and among them all, there is surprisingly little violence.
However, the majority do envision a meeting with aliens that generally doesn’t go too well. I wonder what it is that makes the contact between two sentient beings inherently dangerous and negative to us. Why do we assume that the outcome would be bad (for one or the other or both)? I’m sure it has something to do with biology and resource niche, but for storytelling, I suppose it is a lot more interesting if things go awry as they do in many of these stories.
Though I found each story engaging, my favorites include The Astrozen Composer by Val Muller for its lyrical imagery; Dance, Zirillion, Dance by Dorothy Davies for its well aimed punch; and The Lonely Boy by J.S. Reinhardt for a grit that got under the skin. Overall, I found the reading enjoyable and would recommend this casual read.

Great stuff, but please edit that. Do you really want to advertise the typos? And the disclaimer....not necessary.

Well...no...I don't mean to advertise the typos but they were there and as I reader/reviewer, I felt like I should point them out, no? Okay, I'll delete that one line and remove the disclaimer. I'll post soon.
